Like Beuys, my work is dedicated to the involvement of nature and society.
With his Bolognano project „Defence of Nature“ he set an example that applies to nature: „……nature is an organ of man, without which man cannot live. This means that man needs the forest as a lung and as a source of oxygen.
In my artistic work I raise questions about nature, its simulation, perfection and the relationship between man and nature with its analogies. Human intervention in nature has become normal in order to achieve the ideal of beauty and perfection by scientific technical means. Nature has become a fiction because it is usually based on an idealistic conception.
The artificial treatment of nature illustrates our contemporary thinking and changed perceptions.
„I trace the traces of human intervention in the landscape space and deal with the change in meaning of these places. I ask questions about changes in nature, changes in place and look for a connection to social change.

Like Albrecht Dürer’s 1503 work „The Great Piece of Turf“, a seemingly insignificant piece of nature that gained such attention in art history, I deal with the detail of nature without forgetting the whole.I process the Mexican rainforest in photographic close-ups, enlarge them in gestural ductus and place them in a dialogue with monochrome surfaces. Figurative to abstract and monochrome stand side by side or mix.
I observe the intense sensual absorption of the change of nature in a global context on my travels and in everyday life.
Not only my place of residence (Main-Taunus-Kreis near Frankfurt), but also my travels to China, Mexico, Cuba and Egypt, among others, occupy me from the point of view of the constantly changing global world.
Themes of the rainforest speak associatively to roots from the Rhine-Main area that have been thrown on the rubbish. The roots, partly covered with green pigmented silicone, have something of the artificial-natural (see also my theme ROSE) as well as changing, but also preserving and protecting at the same time. How do I see, how do I perceive reality influenced by the media and the internet? Especially with the increasing medialisation of the world, I ask myself the question of sensuality, the loss of one’s own nature and the unity with nature.
With different artistic means I would like to spread my thoughts on nature in order to initiate a thought process in the viewer.

In meiner künstlerischen Arbeit stelle ich Fragen nach der Natur, ihrer Simulation, dem Perfektionieren und dem Verhältnis zwischen Mensch und Natur mit ihren Analogien. Menschliche Eingriffe in die Natur sind mittlerweile normal, um das Ideal von Schönheit und Perfektion mit wissenschaftlichen technischen Mitteln zu erreichen. Natur ist zu einer Fiktion geworden, da meist eine idealistische Vorstellung zu Grunde liegt.
Der künstliche Umgang mit der Natur veranschaulicht unser heutiges Denken und die veränderten Wahrnehmungen.
„Ich gehe den Spuren menschlicher Eingriffe in den Landschaftsraum nach und beschäftige mich mit dem Bedeutungswandel dieser Orte. Ich stelle Fragen nach Natur-, Ortsveränderungen und suche einen Zusammenhang zum gesellschaftlichen Wandel.

Wie schon Albrecht Dürer 1503 sein Werk „Das große Rasenstück“ , ein scheinbar so bedeutungsloses Stück Natur in der Kunstgeschichte eine solche Aufmerksamkeit erlangte, beschäftige ich mich mit dem Detail der Natur ohne das Ganze zu vergessen.Ich verarbeitet in fotografischen Nahaufnahmen den mexikanischen Regenwald, vergrößere diese in gestischem Duktus und stelle diese in einen Dialog zu monochromen Flächen. Figurativ bis abstrakt und monochrom stehen nebeneinander bzw. vermischen sich.
Das intensive sinnliche Aufnehmen der Veränderung von Natur im globalen Zusammenhang beobachte ich auf Reisen und im Alltag.
Nicht nur mein Wohnort (Main-Taunus-Kreis bei Frankfurt) , auch meine Reisen unter anderem nach China , Mexico, Kuba und Ägypten beschäftigen mich unter dem Gesichtspunkt der ständig sich veränderten globalen Welt.
Themen des Regenwaldes sprechen assoziativ zu Wurzeln aus dem Rhein Main Gebiet, die auf den Müll geworfen worden sind. Die teilweise mit grün pigmentierten Silikon überzogenen Wurzeln haben etwas von Künstlich- Natürlichem (siehe auch mein Thema ROSE) sowie Verändern, aber auch gleichzeitig Bewahren und Schützten. Wie sehe ich, wie nehme ich die Wirklichkeit wahr beeinflußt durch die Medien und Internet ? Gerade mit der zunehmenden Medialisierung der Welt stelle ich mir die Frage nach Sinnlichkeit , dem Verlust der eigenen Natur und der Einheit mit der Natur.
Mit unterschiedlichen künstlerischen Mittel möchte ich meine Gedanken zur Natur verbreiten, um damit einen Denkprozess beim Betrachter einzuleiten.
